Grafton High School (GHS) Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
Google: At GHS we work in Google Education Workspace managed by the Department of Education. Students can log in to any Google Webpage on any BYOD Laptop or Chromebook and access their schoolwork online. If there is no internet, Google will automatically sync when a connection is restored.
BYOD Device Types: Laptops can install Google even if they have S mode which locks them to the Windows store. This can be unlocked easily to allow laptops to install Chrome. Laptops will work on our system with Chrome downloaded and all MacBooks and Chromebooks work seamlessly.
Chromebook Class Sets: Each Faculty has sets of Chromebooks that we use for tests and classwork to ensure that all students have access.
Google Bootcamp: At the start of each year students are introduced to Google Chrome and using Google Workspace on our Class set Chromebooks. We also help students to get BYOD devices on our WIFI.
Where to purchase: You can buy devices from any retailer, including from Learning with Technologies Order Portal
