Where to buy a Chromebook

Where to buy a Chromebook.

You are welcome to purchase Chromebooks from any retailer online or locally. Any Chromebook will work on our system.

  • OfficeWorks always have a good selection of Chromebooks and devices can be delivered or purchased via click and collect (Coffs Harbour). PH: (02) 66 919 700

  • Harvey Norman (Grafton) sometimes have Chromebooks available. PH: (02) 66 401 500
  • Grafton High School (GHS) Chromebook Portal with devices provided by Learning with Technologies. The Learning with Technologies Portal is not part of the Grafton High School website.

NB: ALL purchases, breakages and warranty are strictly between the purchaser and Learning with Technologies and/or the Vendor (Acer, HP, Lenovo, etc).

Learning with Technologies Order Portal

Once you have purchased a Chromebook you will need to bring it into the school IT Support so it can be set up to work with the school.

Once it is set up to work in the school students can:

  • Participate online in classes
  • Share work
  • Collaborate with classmates and with teachers

The Chromebook will:

  • Run the Grafton High School Google Domain (GHS)
  • If lost- can be deactivated with a screen message asking for it to be returned to Grafton High School
  • When found- can be reactivated and will work as normal
  • Have filtered WIFI student access
  • Last all day with no need to charge (Chargers are not permitted at school)

BYOD non Chromebook (Laptops)

Students that have purchased a laptop instead of a Chromebook will need to have Chrome installed on their device. It is up to the student to install Chrome on the device.

NB: Windows devices that are being sold with WINDOWS 10 S operating system can not install the Chrome browser without switching out of S Mode.

We do not offer any technical advice for laptops. Student with laptops can bring their device to the GHS IT Support Team and they will connect the laptop to the school WIFI. For laptop WIFI specifications click here.

We do not allow phones and tablets for use by students and they will not be connected to our internet.
